It's hard to live day by day in Argentina, far larger numbers of the crisis especially in gorges humble and anonymous people who have to live a day without knowing very well what is actually tomorrow, even more painful in a country that prosperous times and knew that evokes such painful memories.
The protagonists of Minimal Stories are three of these anonymous, lost in a life at its lowest level in a remote population in southern Argentina, but the three find an opportunity to change the situation. Don Justo (Antonio Benedictis) had to retire after losing his driving license and is now going on with nothing to do, however, the news that her dog, who disappeared three years ago, has been seen in San Julian (the city more close) will react and go looking for him, but no more than their own feet to get there.
Maria (Javiera Bravo) is a diminished housewife who is selected to participate in a contest in San Julián and found many problems to go there.
Roberto (Javier Lombardo) is a dealer in love with the wife of a deceased former client, thinks it's a good idea to carry a birthday cake to the son, but that idea is not all that easy to be expected.
Carlos Sorin in this film presents an accurate account of the difficulties of ordinary people to lead a normal life, a life which had been used and have been forgotten in a country tired, by dint of deprivation, while that for over all economic situation are always people, and people are precisely the best guarantee of a nation, and Don Justo selfless help you on your journey, the biologist who takes on the road, workers of the factory, at the Roberto also find understanding and support.
The feeling you get to see stories minimum "is that people tend to join and support in difficult times, but there are always others who try to exploit the situation.
The film, however, is not a stark portrait social, is primarily a human film, friendly, even fun, but it is also a portrait of loneliness, of discouragement
Emphasizes the interpretation of the actors, many of them non-professionals who give the film a strong tone and full of humanity make it a great deal of realism, are actually more stories about the reality from fiction, stories everyday full of meaning .
