This is not the private life of Javier Krahe
The singer-songwriter Javier Krahe has become its own merits in one of the most admired musicians, loved and respected in the Spanish panorama. Although not known to the public, has managed to earn a legion of fans, which is increasing every day with new followers, and do not hesitate to go to their concerts and tickets to exhaust virtually from the moment they are put up for sale. Parsimonious of gesture, but with an aura of great charisma, the esmirriado Krahe get their concerts, usually held in local small, they become almost a family party in which Krahe, with its scathing reviews and funny songs, just by unfailingly who won to see him go, even someone who is completely unknown so far.
Javier, who is older, has entered what might be called "the time of the tributes," that in which all of a sudden everybody gets remembered you and give you pats on the back loando to the four winds as cojonudo you are, although most adults do not even know what you spend, and one of those tributes to Javier now comes in the form of a documentary titled, with that fine tinge of humor that distinguishes his character, like "This is not the private life of Javier Krahe. " In the course of little more than an hour and a half we shall witness a journey through the life of the singer-songwriter narrated, in addition to himself, by his fellow band that remains to all parties for years, and known by friends as Great Wyoming, or Paul Anka Carbonell. All this by using some of his most famous songs, and even unreleased footage so far, as a nexus of the whole. Krahe, indefatigable Kicking road, tells her things in the road from a concert to another, which reads as good advertising for the film, which makes it acquires a tone of "docu-road movie." Among all will help us learn more about some of the most intimate and controversial facets of life and personality of this great musician, as his fervent anticlerical vein (crystallized, among other ways, in a controversial short shot along with a childhood friend in which he gave a recipe for cooking a Christ) or his activism in favor of the legalization of marijuana.
Filmed on video, "This is not the life of Javier Krahe" shows sometimes a bill pulling a homemade, something chusca. I have the impression that I myself armed with a video camera could have done something very similar to this documentary, and even have improved to be more incisive in interviews with people like The Beatles, regarded by many fans Krahe as a traitor to his master. It is clear that "This ..." is not intended to win an Oscar for best documentary, if not entertain and do justice to the extent possible, with a character unjustly marginalized by the "mass media" in this country, especially from the enormous controversy generated by his song "Cuervo naive", a brutal pleading against Felipe González to root for his unfulfilled promise not to put Spain into NATO, even that was banned by the socialist government of the time.
Without being no wonder of science "This is not the life of Javier Krahe" meets the record: love to fans of Krahe (I am among them) because they show his idol throughout his salsa, including recordings of never displayed legendary moments of his career, as his tenure in The Mandrake along with Sabina and Alberto Perez and a rendition of "Cuervo naive" and said next to Sabina, with both dressed in Indian (feather on the head included). Incidentally can enjoy with fragments of live performances from the tour during which he recorded the documentary, which is where Javier and the group accompanying him show what they are worth. The "no fan", who also can recommend them perfectly this odd stew, here is a good opportunity to discover a character and enjoy its unique facet iconoclastic, realize that as a lyricist is unmatched, and laughing with some of his most famous songs and fun as the legendary "Marieta", "My hand in penalty", "Where will put this woman?" or "Not everything will be screwed." If we had to put a true "but" the documentary, this would be the inclusion of alexandrite Sanz among those interviewed. What the hell pint here this oligofrénico terminal, with every word you have no loose demonstrated no idea what it says?. I suppose that the directors would add more fun and laughter to his work: the laughter of those who saw the film were unanimous when this item appeared on the screen.
