Death crosses its path and gentleman win some time retándola to a game of chess, this is the initial approach of The Seventh Seal, a masterpiece of Swedish director Ingmar Bergman.
Bergman makes a great selection on the life, death, God, reflects on how these vital questions paralyze life, make us fall into the panic and horror.
The gentleman tirelessly seeking evidence of the existence of God, but not in their quest to find more new questions.
In the film presents a series of characters who decisively influence the plot, as the comic couple, the woman saved by the squire, the blacksmith and his wife, the prominence of these characters but not limited to mere situation are living, but Bergman plays with them to raise very different ideas about God, church, state, the meaning of life, death.
He Seventh Seal is a film with a strong philosophical burden at times difficult to digest, although it can not be considered a movie heavy, long or slow, there is action, there are good performances and the series is highly recommended, for those who simply look a bit of entertainment or for anyone seeking something more.

Film brutal and radical simplicity and beauty found its ultimate expression here as well as the anguish and the harshness of life.
Splendid representation of the torture of human concerns.
Laconic dialogues with death, "Why God behind alleged miracles."
Of course the game of chess always wins death.
