Clerks II (2007)

Clerks II The beginning of the twenty-first century we feel very badly for Kevin Smith. The fiasco of a struggling Jay and Silent Bob counteract Gir l Jersey and the rest much of the credit accumulated in previous films. To top it reached its final departure from the Superman Returns poster, whose screenplay and execution had been flirting for months (I am convinced that in their hands, the end result would have been much higher than truño we finally had to swallow). Altogether, our friend who was at a delicate moment of his career. And what happened to try to recover?. Then touch the fiber of those nostalgic thirty a day, tender teens, had to become idolatrada Clerks icon (?). Uséase: shoot a sequel. Back at home and starting almost from scratch.

Perhaps no one imagined the result was that the maneuver would be so good. Not that Clerks 2 is a masterpiece (not meant to be Kevin Smith Billy Wilder), but there is no doubt that this film is among the best in the director of New Jersey, is unquestionably superior to Clerks in all facets, starting with a script full of references other tapes of the author (could not miss our beloved Jesus Christ Colleague) and, of course, to the Clerks. Some "gags" and dialogues are quite funny (one of them, from "Lord of the Anilos Vs Star Wars" simply ANTOLÓGICO) and although the majority still tends to humor, that "thick" is used a lot better and is more funny . We notice that Smith is now close to 40 "blocks" and that his character, although as thug as always, is much more reflective and even more acute than in other eras. This is especially evident in the final, with the inclusion of a dialogue between Dante and Randall once unthinkable in a film of this man. With an emotional and nostalgic, I recognize that all this end I liked it a lot.

Moreover Clerks 2, which premiered at Cannes no less and was very well received, can claim, like its predecessor, a soundtrack of the same luxury and charismatic players, whom the director managed to convince return to the roles that made them famous. The film takes them all the benefits and benefits greatly from its presence, particularly with Randall on stage. Seriously, I want to be higher as this guy.
