Masked And Anonymous (2003)

Director: Larry Charles
Cast: Bob Dylan, Jeff Bridges, Jessica Lange, John Goodman

I never liked Dylan, I've always seen pompous within its apparent restraint. But a movie full of good actors and where Dylan has to do something more interesting to sing.
"Anonymous" appears to be set apart in a United States of America, reportedly separated again between north and south and more aspect of Central American countries of the world power we are used to seeing on television. This setting is an excellent choice, as it was very close to the real America that we see only in documentary 2, dirt roads, or homeless people without shoes and dust, dust floating in the air.
Dylan embodies Jack Fate, a musician who has just emerged from jail to sing in a benefit concert that seeks to restore social and political unity of the country. A Fate cares very little that goes on around them, moreover, appears to have the same interest that the real Bob Dylan put on film. What can not be denied is that Dylan changes completely every time you read a topic, the band accompanying him, "Simple Twist of Fate" is impressive at least in regard to the battery, so the other members have interpolating to be equally good. The themes are recorded live and are devastating.
The film fails noise at the intention to make each line of dialogue must be a monologue worthy of an Oscar. The actors are wonderful, but trying to be all players have a deep story behind it is ridiculous. Special mention to the Val Kilmer monologue that more releases would also not be safe from sobreactuación.
If you're a Dylan fan of the movie you'll love. Only by interpreting the songs live is worth it. The version of Dixie makes jump tears and tries to recover this wonderful song, much maligned for its relation to slavery in 1860 and with racism today. In this case the south is the land of freedom struggle against the oppression of the north.
"Anonymous" can be seen and has interesting points. If you like Dylan or independent film will enjoy it if you do not like anything that you can entertain a little, however sobreactuados who are the characters are interesting.
