The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
The Beach Boys
Pet Sounds
1966 Capitol
Speaking of "Pet Sounds" is to get fully into one of the most ambitious in history, the largest ever done by any musician to achieve absolute perfection.
The legend tells us that Brian Wilson was impressed by the "Rubber Soul" by the Beatles, who discovered this record that he had to do something bigger, better, something immensely beautiful, the album that forever changed the lives of people .
The recording sessions were insane, Wilson was a tyrant who handled each item entering the study, and not just for this disk is used all kinds of instruments and all the technology can then be recorded orchestras entire Arab instruments , theremin, bicycle bells, bells, thousands of choirs, cans and bottles of Coca-cola, barking dog.
The concept was that Brian Wilson was to create a complete record, where everything fits perfectly as part of an indivisible whole, where everything should be merged covering all styles.
All this led many tensions between the brothers Wilson and the Beach Boys and his company saw the project as another eccentricity of the already problematic musician.
"Pet Sounds" should be considered more a work of Brian Wilson solo album from a Beach Boys, Wilson handling they wanted all the elements of the recording, adding thousands of details and nuances in each outlet at each meeting, to obtain an outcome that met their wide expectations, the rest of the band simply add vocals and sing at the last minute.
All this great house of cards had fallen behind everything quickly if there had been no great songs, but that "Pet Sounds" had many and very good.
The record remains a vague storyline that connects all the songs is to address a relationship analyzing every given moment in time, the initial conclusion: "Would not it be nice" to the bitter Farewell, "Caroline No", the plot excuse to include some of the most beautiful love songs of the story: "I know there's an answer," "God Only Knows," "Here Today".
The perfect pop album, a true jewel that 30 years after its publication still playing just as well.
The legend also says that Wilson finally went crazy listening to the Beatles Sgt Pepper, for me the Liverpool were never able to match the heights of inspiration.

Que tal? Insensitive to people who do not leave a comment about this beauty in a compact!
As you can see in my mail, I'm a Beatle fan, but I think Sounds PET is the best record in the history of rock no doubt. At times it makes me mourn me and makes me laugh when I gave forces fought with copnsidero I miss the love of my life. Here today is my favorite song on the disc! a greeting, and live, live Brian Wilson!
Well, yes, thank you very much for being who you opened the comments in this post!
Computer Age is a page that does not have too modest visits, but few are selected, jejeje
Anyway, to say at this stage of Pet Sounds, without a doubt one of the 10 best records in history, a true classic that does not lose brightness by passing over the years.
A Greeting
Pet sounds like pikle Gorrion reminds me that today is the love of my life ...
I think one of my best recommendation is to have the pet Ledo sound disc pikle pop
I believe it is true that one of the best records in history, a round of applause for Brian and others of that time, unfortunately there is no longer so good, everything is nothing but pure copy. Good bye.
Mr excellent on this page:
I again PiKLe Gorrion SMILE to say that I gained from Brian Wilson and is also another of my favorite discs. Very complex and I dare to define a new style as "classical pop music." I know it sounds disparate classification but I think so. he added, closing comment, I have a group called Pop PiKLe and we would be happy to give a disk as virtual appreciation for this shelter!
greetings!
PiKLe Sparrow
I join the praise poured on this record, and would like to recommend, although the group's fans surely know, the "Love you" in 1977, I found a comment from Peter Buck (REM) in which he confessed was his favorite album of the Beach Boys, listening takes time and is a marvel. It is a more mature, less direct and perhaps more difficult to listen to Pet Sounds, but it enjoyed a to highlight issues such as "Solar System" or "The night was so young" but as with Pet Sounds, no subject is waste. It is a disc that dominate synthesizers, there is hardly any other instrument, the voices most affected or tanned, still fascinated with these great melodies and background vocals, lyrics, if anything, even more personal and revealing.
Anyway, I am not surprised with the time I finish my love even more than Pet Sounds.
[...] Brian Wilson finished the recording of "Pet Sounds" indisputable masterpiece of Pop, even thought it was not good enough [...]
Green go: I know the members of the band Inverness, thanks. John Salvo.
