The Benicassim International Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, and have prepared to celebrate a really powerful cartel, a cartel that combines performances of great classics of the stature of Lou Reed, Brian Wilson, Love and Wire with groups like The Shins Today , Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol or Clem Snider.
This year's edition is distributed over four days (5,6,7 and August 8) in a total of 7 scenarios where to spend nearly 70 groups.
The IFF has been for years the most important music festival that is celebrated in our country, the musicians have gone so determinative as Radiohead, The Cure, Paul Weller, Sonic Youth, Mogwai, Dinosaur Jr., Diabologum, or The Big Star pos.
The venue of the festival has been undergoing changes and moves along these editions, from the velodrome for the first editions to the current comprehensive site that every year is getting even better with new facilities and infrastructure to accommodate the huge number of spectators congregate every year at Benicassim (35,000 persons in 2002) and literally flooded the small town of Benicassim, with its magnificent beaches and an atmosphere quite distant from the major tourist sites.
